VISA REQUIREMENTS

All visitors to Bay Islands must present a passport valid for at least six months from date of travel. Visa requirements for entering Bay Islands vary significantly from country to country. For up-to-date information on visa requirements, please click here.

LANGUAGE

The official language of Honduras is Spanish, although English is commonly spoken among locals.

WEATHER

Bay Islands enjoys an ideal climate year-round, with temperatures averaging 33°C / 91°F from October to April (Spring/Summer), and 24°C / 75°F from May to September (Autumn/Winter).

CURRENCY

The local unit of currency is the Honduran Lempira but everywhere they accept dollars or credit cards.

TIME ZONE

Mauritius standard time is four hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+4).

ELECTRICITY

USB sockets are located on the desk and near the bed. Universal socket.

How to get Here

Roatan is easily accessible by air in either direct or connecting flights from many major cities with several different airlines. Complimentary shuttles are offered daily to/from Roatan International Airport and the Galaxy Ferry Terminal. Once you’re here, all guests will require a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after arrival and a $47 USD departure tax is due at the airport in cash when departing Roatan.
